I don't have a set limit on my options appreciation. That is one of the things that killed the 90/10 mutual funds. They always had to "rebalance" the portfolio. Well, that and the fact that they couldn't pick stocks worth a damn. <g>

However, I tend to roll at quadruples, as I don't like money on the table. And, I then still buy what would be an appropriate amount for my % game. For example, if I have a quadruple on a third of CDWC, when I roll down, all that goes in is a third of a position, not the 4/3s my old position represented. It is likely to be larger, as the entire portfolio benefits from that profit. But not 4 times as large. So, in some ways, it resembles a rebalancing game, but not for that reason.
