Gary,
Those in my office all upgraded or bought 1st PC ever about 2 years ago. Since then, only 1 upgrade(she didn't upgrade 2 years ago) and 1 new purchase from a 1st time PC owner. I use a 7500 Mac and find it more than suffiecient for all my uses. i am waiting till powerbooks come down to about 2k for the 6gig with dvd. Currently they are $4,300 but were about 6k 6 months ago. I don't see any other new purchases from the rest of the office in the future. They are quite happy with 166 pentiums.
