<<NDS is the jewel of the crown here. The question you should ask yourself is if NDS is worth a $6 billion market cap.>>

NDS is the jewel....Yes. Or Gem as Eric Schmidt has called it in interviews. $6 billion market cap. Well $1 billion is "cash", so around $4.8 bil for the ongoing business. I don't think stock price is even "rich" relative to the NDS, Bordermanager, and related ZENworks products Schmidt is pushing.

Just one individual and humble opinion, believing Schmidt is thinking outside the box.

Good reply.

Let's see, one billion is in cash, so that's a 5 billion market cap.

Let's assume that at least in the short term that Netware will continue to sell as before, perhaps get even better off of Windows 2000 delay.
I think NOVL declared that there is a multi-billion dollar market (someone help me here with the actual estimate..was it $40 billion?)for directory services, of which at the present time NOVL has the ONLY product.

Getting any better for years 1999 and 2000?
