say whether EMC and NTAP products are mutually exclusive at one installation site or can they coexist? Using EMC for such kind of work/needs and NTAP for something else...

They can certainly coexist. NTAP for UNIX and NT data servers, NTAP for NetCache, EMC for mainframe data.

re can emc and ntap products coexist in a network

answer is yes; in fact i think the two companies' products have very little in common. emc is big old legacy systems (like minicomputers!), while ntap is web, nt, and generally the future. look at their respective ads in the trade mags to see the cultural difference as well.
