OT, Given that you have a golden, you're now forgiven for your political views <g> The lab is a good choice also. I've tried to keep two goldens but had to put one down last Nov. Greatest dogs ever and you're absolutely right, they are most lovable. Maybe some of the "shorts" should get one, it might change their attitude. Regards, Jim

Freeus....I knew there was something about you I liked <G>. I'm on my third Golden (Abbey - 4yo.). Cornflake and Kelsee came before. My other dog is a "Bengi" mutt I found as a stray in the ghettos around the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions in Baltimore. Smartest dog I've ever known. She was 6 mo. when I found her, now 11 yo. When I found her, I told my wife I wanted to keep her. Since I had vowed to name my next dog "Zeek" at the time, that's the name "she" got. Hence my favorite moniker "Zeeko"
