effects that psychology brings, in the market, if any).

I think we agree on this, depends on what you mean by
"benefit", semantics...

Eric,

I agree with you comments on the psychology of (splits and) valuing growth stocks.

If you extend that argument, I guess you could say that investment forums such as SI, which tend to provide psychological support for the longs (save an occasional bear intrusion), might artificially inflate the price of a stock.

I wonder what type of results might fall out of shorting the stocks on SI with the most posts...?
