Kirk,

I agree, especially on the cost side.

These days it's still a LOT more expensive for the typical consumer to use digital rather than film. And the benefits of digital (manipulation and editing) aren't big enough to sell people on it.

Digital is MOSTLY popular among people who build their own web-pages or have commercial needs, but it's not mainstream.

For example. I recently bought a small airplane. That's a tough market, and often you need to search all the way across the country to find exactly what you want. The process was made possible by the fact that the seller had a digital camera, could take all the pictures I asked him for, and put them on his web-page or email them for me. Still haven't seen the plane myself, but I know exactly what it looks like and how it's set up. Useful, but not mainstream...

OK, are you the guy responsible for this? <g>

"We found this interesting creature on the Hewlett-Packard superscalar PA-RISC 7100LC Hummingbird microprocessor chip not far from the hummingbird (you know---the one that is for you). The guy with the sunglasses appears to be showing a number of items, including some (probably) "hot" watches, inside his trench coat. From the crown advertisement on the inside of his coat, we think that this guy expects us to believe they are genuine Rolex watches."
