Thanks Gary, I hope CSCO does well too. I think commoditization of PCs and Web machines will be good for all major Telecom network equipment and service providers. Bad news for DELL, GTW and other BOX makers. Software and networkers will outperform as result.

I wish nothing but the best for CSCO with reservation of major slow down in corporate spending. If they don't execute their telecom strategy, CSCO will be history. There is no room for error. Talk is cheap, Chambers keeps talking cheap like Throw that piece and throw this piece without showing what he has. AT this point he has bunch of third class technology inferior in quality with minimal reliability. He has a long way to go. Summa Four and that and this garbage collection won't cut it.

Good luck Gary.
We shall see in 12 months who will be there. I hope LU and CSCO both take the honors leaving others in the dust. I believe there is room for at least two major players. One of them is LU. Others may be CSCO??or else watch out. Current market value already reflects potential telecom future in CSCO, That is the risk. If they fail in that CSCO will be you know what, HISTORY.

BR

Hey CSCO rah rah Gary, how come you didnt point out this tidbit in your super hype BS Network World analcyst expose':

Voice will also be a challenge for Cisco going
forward, but a challenge the company will easily
sidestep, says Paul Johnson, an analyst at
BancBoston Robertson Stephens.

"They will never be successful at voice, and yet
IP is so powerful that they will continue to grow
at an amazing rate and surprise people,"
Johnson says. "IP is going to be much bigger
than people realize. It won't matter." Cisco's
Listwin said during the conference call that the
company booked more voice ports in the
second quarter than in all of fiscal 1998.

Hey Gary, " THEY WILL NEVER BE SUCCESSFUL AT VOICE" is what this cheerleader says. What does that say for your CSCO??? HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

GO ASND/LU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CSCO'S A SITTING DUCK! QUACK QUACK QUACK HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
