WJ, I think Barrick secretly wanted this deposit. Now it seems to be armoured against hostile takeovers as too muc time was given by the cheap bids to allow defensive measures and SH eagerness to resist ABX.
When you make a takeover and it is obvious you are trying to steal it the quarry eludes the net and the hunter is decapitated.
It does not pay to make such an error.
