From CBS Marketwatch:

<<America Online (AOL) shares added 2 3/4 to 155 3/4 after the company
said that Netscape's (NSCP) co-founder Marc Andreesson will become
AOL's chief technology officer upon the close of the company's acquisition
of Netscape. Netscape shares rose 2 7/8 to 68 1/8.>>

Confirmation of what I saw today on NSCP. Great legs.

>>For technicians, the 39 period Sotchastic just went below 50% for all tech indices (Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, etc.), the SPX, the OEX, and the NAS 100. The last time this happened was early October.<<

I was noticing that all of the major indexes I follow ($indu, $spx, $compx, $iix, etc.) closed yesterday below their 50 day EMA for first time since Oct 98 as well. Every time the Nasdaq Composite broke its 50 day average (at least for the last 5 years or so), the market has corrected to right at or right below the 350 day average. What do you guys (and gals) make of that? We are obviously stalled... are we about to break up or down?
