Syl98,

Point taken, but the simple fact is that nothing may prevent EBAY from adopting a similar strategy to BII given the potential of the "business-to-business" aspect. Ditto for other online auctioneers.

In a kind of off-topic way, the Reform party here in Canada proposed a popular platform of policies that many in this country felt they could identify with. The result has been that much of their platform, (or good chunks of it) have been copied by the governing Liberals who have seen the real benefit without having to work too hard for it. In the end, the Reform party will most likely never form government as their platform is plundered by opponents left and right. The parallel here is that BII could find itself in a similar position and if EBAY does indeed agree to a partnership with AOL, I would not be surprised to see BII out in the cold. EBAY will NOT want to enter into an alliance with a partner who also has an alliance with a rival competitor. Who's got more clout here? BII or EBAY? I think you know the answer.
