Bill - Re: "All indicators are that RDRAM prices will stay high and the parts scarce(and the RDRAM makers are no fools, they will meter them out). This works against Intel strategy and each extra $ for RDRAM is one less in the pool for Intel to fish for and even chase by dropping it's price by the $. "

So?

RAMBUS/CAMINO/Pentium III will cost more - no doubt.

Good things generally cost more than not-so-good things.

And better things cost more than good things.

If the speed benefits are worth the cost, these machines will sell very well.

The fact that Intel will be making and selling these appears to GREATLY upset you.

What's understandable is that you are mentally married to AMD and AMD has been a loser as an investment.

Toughen up, Bill - AMD is about to start losing at an even greater rate.

Maybe you'd like to hear AMD's presentation at the upcoming BankBoston Robertson-Stephens conference - where they can "share" their situation with investors such as yourself.
