Am trying to get in a position to sell puts which would
be complementary to buying the calls but the broker doesn't allow it
yet. He does allow a straddle which is to buy a put and sell a put on the same stock. Could that be used to any advantage and could you give an example for Dell where the assumption is made that the stock would progress up for 5 points or more?
Am sorry for being so lazy about this, its time to get some books or read up on the free stuff available on the Web. But it takes a critical mass ( or a big loss) to move my thinking nowadays.
