So I was sitting there today thinking.
HMMMM, Amazon is now worth only $14 billion. Ebay is $10 billion.
Those AOL boys have paper to burn. What is another $24 billion worth to declare "Checkmate" on the entire industry. You would have to own AOL then. And what is their downside? Stock trades off a little. They are still in the S&P500. Every Tom, Dick and Harry will fall in love with them. It would almost be the internet index all wrapped up into one. AOL, NSCP, AMZN, EBAY (plus ICQ). Oh, but those poor also rans. Tim Koogle must have nightmares about this. Who has more funny money that him? Those bastards in Virginia. "How can anyone in Virginia compete with me?" said Tim Koogle while shopping for satin shirt in a swishy boutique in Palo Alto. And the music played on.
