Bill, Re: "They do not need to
make profits themselves, they are in essance in the dust, but they have forced Intel
into that same low profit dust for a large segmen of production."

How long can this not making profits at your favorite companies go on, Bill. This is not Monopoly of the do not pass go variety, or the Silicon Valley board game they're playing here you know.

Low profit dust! We're talking about a company that racked 2.1 billion in net profit last quarter. That's more than the combined revenues of AMD and NSM. Get real. If this were a sports board, you'd be a Colts fan dissing the Broncos.

Tony

Komrade Billski - Re: "The few who wish to pay dearly for the P-III/RDRAM bus combo will not suffice to offset the inroads made by AMD and Cyrix on Intel profits"

See...you are SOOOOOOOOOOO upset that your brain has been scrambled.

Intel just posted RECORD profits of $2.1 BILLION on RECORD Revenue of $7.6 BILLION (These are both B - as in BILLION .

AMD just dropped out of their THIRD analyst/Investor conference and announced they will LOSE MONEY this quarter.

Those are the FACTS, Bill.

So, once again, Bill, how did the AMD/Cyrix inroads affect Intel profits?
