Lindy, >>>The Cisco and
Microsoft threads have been taken over by a bunch of twerps from the Yahoo
threads, by the look of them.<<<

It's my fault. Ever since I bought some Cisco and started watching Microsoft, the twit-brains took them both over!

Try the Intel thread. It's pretty informative and we got a couple of real good sharpshooters over there to take care of the twerps. This thread does look good too. Thanks Uncle Frank.

Tony

Lindy, MSFT is a monopoly and that makes them king gorilla. <g> Except Janet Reno may be Empress of the Apes. Cisco is a great co. and they have surprised me. Every time I thought the technology had passed them by, they use that bloated stock to takeover a player. Smart mgt. I do think the eventual combo of Lucent and Ascend will cut into their margins, big time, and bring down the pe ratio. But I have no idea when.

Dell may grow at 35% for another quarter or two, before dropping to 20% and then market rate and then industry rate, which is negative. But negative growth at Dell is probably two years out.

Hi LindyBill - Just wandered over from the Dell thread (this is a great thread Uncle Frank! I'm in the process of reading all the posts..) I'm thinking of nibbling on some MSFT. Do you think this is a good price? I'm a little concerned because it's right on its 50 day moving average, and if goes below, it can fall to the low 100's. With the trial and the nervous nellies...who knows. Anyway, just wondering why you like MSFT at this level. Thanks! -ac
