The VOD/ATI merger has made it obvious just
how crucial wireless will be to the top tier
Telecoms co. of the future. If WCOM is so
archaic not to have a wireless solution for
its customers, they will not be winners....
Period. Nextel has the best (independant)
real estate out there--by far. And no, 49
won't take it--no way, no how.

Mike

why doesn't he come right out and say it?
Nextel isn't going cheaply! I would be highly disapointed if N sold for 45-51 dollar range. Ive had shares since 12 and change and if that happened I would consider it a dog! seeing all the other stocks that have had great run ups, Nextel will open the bidding at 49-51 but after that ZOOOOOOOOOOOOM!! I still feel it's a partnership deal, not a buy out, to many BIG ego's. 45-50 will be nice, kinda like kissing your sister at christmas nice!<BG> jimmyo... always wanted to kiss Racheal Welsh!!

"there is not an easy, financially rational way to acquire wireless capability"

Why couldn't I figure how such a nice diplomatic way of saying that NXTL wants too much for the company? "Rational"? Why should CM and DA give away the choicest beach front property for a song?

WCOM better be careful or they'll end up as best man at NXTL's wedding just like they did at ATI's. My guess is that's exactly what will happen. They'll try to buy NXTL on the cheap and then be forced to bid with the Europeans in an auction for NXTL's hand. They can have my hand at $75. Anything less only buys my finger.
