E!:

microchips for Webber's database are encased in acid-resistant porcelain and inserted in an animal's stomach ten days after birth.

Wow...the possibilities boggle the mind! Think of the human applications...billions of 'em:

1. Life insurers will insist on 'insertion' into policyholders so that they can monitor the intake of fats, toxins (alcohol, drugs, tobacco smoke, excess carbohydrates) and anything else they deem to be a threat to the health of the insured..and their profits.

2. Ditto the HMOs.

3. Parents will be able to keep a biological eye on the kids.

4. The local constabulary will want scanners for obvious reasons...

Where do we buy Shearwell shares?<gg>

Regards,
Wolf

p.s. Of course, there just might be a mild reaction by human rights groups. In fact, I'm surprised there hasn't been one by animal rights activists..yet.
