TOKYO, Feb 19 (Reuters) - Japanese electronics giant NEC Corp said on Friday that its president Hisashi Kaneko would resign to take responsibility for the company's poor earnings.

(Note: this article is ''in progress''; there will likely be an update soon.)

ahh..here comes the update:

Seattle, Feb 19 (Reuters) - Jeff Bezos, president of Amazon.com, remarked, "what a silly sap..doesn't he know that there is honor in losses? He should just add "dot-com" to NEC, and the market will applaud his 'investments in the future'".

Mr. Bezos later denied making the comments. But curiously, he added that "If you did hear me say those things, then Amazon.com will refund you the full purchase price of any book you bought after possibly hearing those comments"...Mr. Bezos later added, "since Amazon.com is the world leader in losing money, we have to set an example, and that is only right".
