Your post made me curious. What kind of setbacks
does MSFT usually have? I looked at it and found
the following:

Aug 90 27% < Sadam and Kuwait
Jul 91 18% < AAPL lawsuit (if memory serves me)
Jun 92 22%
Feb 93 16%
Aug 93 24%
Jul 94 8% < Greenspam hiked interest rates
Jan 96 17%
Dec 97 15%
Oct 98 18%
Feb 99 15% < Not followed by a new high, YET!

Rounded percentages of largest drop from previous
high. I used closing prices on Fridays.
