Technology Stocks : MRV Communications (MRVC) opinions? -- Ignore unavailable to you. Want to Upgrade?

Trading this A.M. was very interesting. We had a surge to 6 7/8. In fact, there was a block of 8000 at 6 7/8 that crossed ABOVE the ask. This was the high point. Then the stock drifted quickly down to 6 1/2 on very low volume. It seems to me that the MMs want to hold the stock back today.

FWIW I also have been following the discussion about the Barron's article. Call me stupid or pie-in-the sky naive but I DO see a direct parallel between the Washington Post and MRVC: both incredibly undervalued at a particular point in time.

Nice article Greg, certainly agree that the small stock investor has been left to 'think on his own', will it ever change? If this technology were easy to design & manufacture, everybody would 'do it', btw, w/Nortel's validation, it certainly makes Cisco's 'head in the sand' policy all the more apparent. 'Course Cienna is priced as if they will be picked up by 'em. MRV as a neglected stock does not stand alone in my portfolio, small caps have been 'crap' for awhile now...however, it's not so important how MRV starts the year, but how it finishes that will be telling. The stakes are big, the outcome uncertain, ahh, 'the dark night of the soul'. Turnaround 6 months out, full momentum a year from now. ;-)

Keep up the good work guys...

Regis

Greg, I repeat. By posting that I wanted to discuss the article GENERALLY.

The first paragraph, however does have parallels.

1) Companies out there would be interested in paying more for all of MRVC, but it is partly 'family' owned and they don't want to sell.

2) Time must pass and market conditions must change.

3) Selling at cash, I think it is undervalued too, but that is for everyone to determine on their own.
