I did buy APII two weeks ago; they raised the bid to 4 3/4 when I tried to buy 1500 shares, ended up getting 1000 at 4 1/2...
It's not THAT easy... :-)

Just nibbled at IEIB...got my shares at 1 1/2, and Ask jumped to 1 11/16 right after that. Hee hee.
