What got me ranting is the notion that a group of men are so addicted to sex that they would engage in a sexual death game. This dovetailed with my recollection of the Kinsey research, and was compounded by my anger at the effect AIDS has had on the sexual landscape. Worldwide, AIDS is primarily a heterosexual disease, but in America it is, proportionally speaking, a 1. gay male and 2. IV drug user disease. It is a terrible disease, and the idea of consciously, and premeditatively "playing" with it pissed me off. Maybe I was too broad with my criticism. Maybe I should have given myself a "time out" before I started ranting.
