Cumetrix to Add Three New Product Categories to Online Stores
Jump to first matched term
INDUSTRY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 19, 1999--Cumetrix Data Systems Corp. (Nasdaq:CDSC), a national distributor of computer peripherals and provider of automated system configuration services, Friday announced that it has undertaken steps to add three noncomputer-related product categories to its online stores.

The company previously announced plans to launch an online computer store as well as a computer-related auction site in the current quarter. Commenting on this new initiative, Max Toghraie, CEO of Cumetrix, commented: "Following formation of our wholly owned Internet subsidiary, we began to forge several direct manufacturer and vendor relationships outside of the computer industry to target additional market opportunities for our online store and auction Web sites.

"This represents the first step in a highly selective process to identify products where certain competitive advantages should allow us to compete very effectively.

"We are currently adding travel-related services including airline tickets and special tours, music CDs and optical-related products such as eyewear and contact lenses as three new categories to promote within the regular store as well as the auction format.

"The introduction of the new categories is currently scheduled to take place as part of our second phase of implementation, which follows opening of the original sites. We are currently working to expedite the opening date of the first commerce sites and are pleased with the status of recent developments for the new products, which we believe will enable us to offer exceptional value in the above categories to our online audience."

here's one to get in on early - web site under construction and i bet when finished they announce and start to get revenue from it.

1) earnings positive (oh oh, that could be bad if they declare i-net - sarcasm)

2) revs up significantly

3) costs reduced

4) web site under construction - no mention of it yet

5) 1st co in it's niche to list on NASDAQ - still on NASDAQ

6) trading below book value

7) in talks with nasdaq - have to get share price up - profitable but been overlooked , imo

8) opening of new location adding revenue

9) look for acquisiton or to be acquired, something to increase share price

10) been in business since 1980's, so it is not some fly by night

11) 52 week high over $4.50
