And those initial splash screens would make a great example for webpagesthatsuck.com

When I go to vantive.com I want to go to the meat, not some marketing gimic.

IMHO

>>Did you see the new positioning as an e-customer company?

yah.

Luongo was a consultant between his stint at Oracle and Vantive and he knows all about consultant speak. The vision ain't bad at VNTV. The problem has been their sales organization and the perceived level of value-add of their software (not a whole lot).

ONYX will not buy vantive! The technologies are incompatible and ONYX is growing great on their own. VNTV will turn around, IMHO, given enuff time.

From my perspective, this 'e-customer' marketing image is just that -- marketing. The product is not currently architected to support the e-customer. I hope Vantive's engineers are busting their butts to make this a robust, web product. Based on what I see, they're at least 1.5 years away from where Siebel is today (from a product architecture perspective).
