Did you buy SBSE for any other reasons?

I set up the contest in the first place because I don't believe any one person's opinion is sufficient. Do you have any worries about SBSE?

Send your reply to the boring dormant SBSE thread. The Phoenix thread is reserved for private conversations between me and Jules Garfunkel.

We need a technical analysis.

Suppose I was a fund manager and I believed that Phoenix is going to announce a buyback next week when earnings are released, as long as the price remains below 12. How do I buy as many shares as possible to maximize my profit? If I buy too many at once, the price will spike up too fast and I'll have to pay too much. If I don't buy enough, I've missed the opportunity. Is there an optimum velocity of upward price momentum that I should try to achieve?

Conversely, suppose I was a fund manager with a big position in Wind River and I wanted to distribute it optimally. It's been moving straight down, so isn't the fund manager selling too much? Wouldn't it be better to sell it more evenly rather than letting the world know what's happening?
