My understanding is that canadians don't have the same three day pay rule we have dowm here and can speculate by buying stock and not have to settle their account till month end which is next week.

If the stock goes up, they sell and keep the profit, if the stock goes down, they sell to limit their loss and wat they have to pay to balance their account.
