Dear Karl: Yes, you are right MEP is a wild card. But being conservative as I try to be in these estimates, I give the wild card a 0 basis until it proves itself. Thus if anything good comes of it it only provides some cushion for things I may miss. JDN

2,226 Tava Price Suppressants just expired worthless. The Feb. $7.50 and $10 calls just expired worthless. Together, they made up about 40% of the open interest going into expiration week. While these do not account for the price decline, those "short calls" that were in specialists' accounts represent a handsome profit for the specialists and a strong reason to keep a lid on TAVA's price. Those "short calls" that were in shareholders' accounts represent a handsome dividend for shareholders. The next "major" expiration will be the May options - TAVA is on the Feb-May-Aug-Nov option cycle. Note that the last "major" buying opportunity occurred prior to the Nov. expiration, and that TAVA rose nicely in December.
