Howie: Volume seems about average so far. I think it would be good for CPQ to base for a bit between 40 and 42 - that was the old base we started forming the second week of December. I never liked the way CPQ moved out of that base (although I was WRONG 'cause it kept going up). I believe it was about the same time that we began getting "ideas" about what CPQ was going to do with Alta Vista. Now we're back there and with not too much more info about AV as we had then. <ggggg> Perhaps if we build a better base this time, the next move up will be less tentative.

I fully expect the tech sector will rally going into the end of Q1 - money has to go to work (retirement $ coming in), Allan does zip with rates, tech sector is done consolidating and, most importantly, earnings for the tech sector will be verrry good in Q1 (think about the YOY for CPQ!!!!).

JMO,

K
