Yes, it was very interesting, but think of the particular example that Martin used--- the kid swung at him before he had a chance to finish reading his rights, and the kid had been so often arrested that he was familiar with the routine, therefore why let him off on a technicality? Then, the force of Martin's confession is undercut by his absurdity in accusing Frasier of escapism as he has a tall glass of scotch. Finally, Niles admits that it is unfair to put Frasier in this position, and resolves to make a clean breast of it himself. Before that can happen, the lawyer discovers a bargaining ploy that forces a favorable settlement---- Maris's family fortune comes from urinal cakes. By the time it is all done, I don't think it is particularly effective as propaganda....On the other hand, "Law and Order" was unmistakable propaganda, in showing an unreasonable and sex obsessed independent prosecutor harassing our hero, Jack McCoy, and it may have a negative effect, if people think it is true- to- life. I will be interested on the follow-up on "Homicide".
