I actually read a different take on the whole situation: seems the CEO didn't agree with a potential merger being discussed.

The stock was quite volatile before the resignation announcement (it kept on moving in between $23-$30)! I checked how daytraders were reacting on www.daytraders.org and they were simply ignoring the stock for now.

Like you a bought some more at just under $20

Investors dumped shares of Preview Travel (PTVL) on news that Ken Orton, president and chief executive, has resigned. Founder and Chairman Jim Hornthal will assume Orton's responsibilities on an interim basis. Shares sank 2 1/2 to 21 1/4.
