The Wall Street Journal article today about the Barrick offer to purchase Sutton Resources speculates that the majors are poised to pay premiums to acquire proven companies with low production costs. The offer represented an 85% premium over the day's closing price. This can only bode well for Medinah. The article further states that there is a short list of attractive projects for sale and this results in sell prices that reflect a "scarcity value." We should all be hoping for the major combination of a positive court decision, a confirmation of the mother lode from the drill project, and an orchestrated short squeeze. Any combination of two of these could result in strong upward movement but a triple play could send us to the moon. We are 10 days from March and the court reopening. Lets get this show on the road.
