D E Shaws sells their internet trading unit to Merrill Lynch for I believe $25 million. Now if I am not incorrect, these stocks have multi billion dollar market caps. The valuation disparity is gaping IMHO.
I think they go lower. They will probably drop when these neotechnologically empowered rookie investors can finally get their trades executed. Face it, who bought and who owns these stock anyway?
I bet the average guy who owns AMTD or EGRP also owns AMZN, Yahoo, DELL, MSFT... Ouch!
I suspect account openings and activity will slow as this internet bubble continues fizzle.
You bet I own puts!!

Had very interesing problems with Charles Schwab. Seems they also use two quote services. One is real time, the other is about 5 minutes delayed, but gets quoted as real time. If your trying to make a decision as to when to trade using it, you have to hit the refresh a few times to make sure you have the latest one. Look at the volume to make sure.

Also had a real problem with Jack White WEb pages last month. cost me about $5K in options costs. Seems the equity trading window has a different timeout paramter than the regular window, so if you touch the quote or holding or balance wiondows but do not touch the trading window, then the trading window can time out and log you out. It logged me out twice in the middle of a trade. they claim that they will upgrade this with Waterhouse software. A good lot that did to save me the $5k.
