here's some numbers i ran, using a rival epayment company, the more wellknown leader, checkfree:

epay ckfr
mkt cap $195.20 $1,727.00
annualized
revenue $36.00 $238.42
revenue multiple 5.42x 7.24x
as of feb 19, 1999

$ in millions

as of feb 19, 1999

bottomline tech should change its name to epay...i like epay's growth here in revenue
for the six months ended 12/31/98, revenues rose 34% to $18.1 million, which i annualized above...net income applicable to common totalled $1.5 million for the six months ended 12/31/98

i believe epay could challenge checkfree some day if it gets aggressive enough
epay looks somewhat volatile, however, so be aware of the risk side here -- small firms like this have a battle if they want to get big
