The company's future is as bright as ever. However, I am not so sure about its stocks price for the immediate one to two year future. With declining revenues in the 30 percent range, it is very easy to see a growth in earnings of just 30 percent. And that would mean a fiscal year 2001 earnings mark of about $1.75. That would more likely lend itself to a multiple of 35 and a forward looking price of $60.00 in twelve months. I don't see anything that demonstrates the required risk-reward ratios at the stock's current prices.

Moreover, DELL didn't blow right by the analyst's estimates this time. This appears to be the near term prospects as well.

Certainly, today's performance on a comeback Riday (of sorts) was another ominous signal that the halcyon days for DELL's stock price are over.
