OT -- We are essentially in agreement. Which is why I said even the winners of the war will end up amputated. Just the same, I want you to know that I buy between $600~$1,000 of books each year (and still my girlfriend complains that I use Barnes & Noble as a library!). Even though shopping.com (or was it shopper.com) prices are about 15% cheaper than Amazon's, I decided to never buy from them and buy from Amazon instead. This is because their set up is very lousy and unfriendly. Not to mention slow. So even in the online world, there is still a thing called "the shopping experience". There is also the issue of knowing that you can return the goods (and perhaps in future) having some credible waranty and after service from the online store. For these reasons, when it comes to the internet, I'd lump my money with the big boys of good reputations and solid balance sheet. have a nice weekend, Sun Tzu
