wave 1 down 175 to 155
wave 2 up 155 to 165
wave 3 down 165 to 143
wave 4 up 143 to

2 good days in a row...looks like wave 3 may
have ended. that would make the high 130s the
bottom if we get a wave 5 down.

the chart looks like a very sped up version of
july/aug/sept correction, with us now in september.

4 things happened today:

1. Caldera lawsuit postphoned til January---("out of sight, out of
mind"
2. Java decision
3. Lehman reiterating "buy"
4. Defense getting better.

If the first 3 did not happen, we would have seen a 5 point drop at the open--since CNN ( Lou Dobbs---"Microsoft hater") and others gave the Compaq story a lot of air time last evening. Number 4 helped us keep the gains.
Well, maybe I am wrong in the importance each of the above---but we would have seen a sharp decline.
Feeling better about the next 2months.
