Thanks Todd, for the link to IBE99.

It sure is a big world out there ... very intimidating, if you are an international entrepreneur who doesn't have the EDI infrastructure in place that the Fortune 500 have enjoyed for years. So many places to explore, so much data to gather, so much protocol to sort through. I think co-sponsor IMEX does a good job of organizing all the categories and pointers: imex.com

But, I followed many of those pointers to Trade Associations, Companies, Products, Services, Markets, Online magazines, etc, and it just confirmed that research and various associations are at my finger tips, but what I would want most, as an entrepreneur, would be ONE site that was transaction based and interactive; that would link others in my chamber of commerce and around the world, that would provide me D&B data, freight forwarding, international banking letters of credit, forms, printing services, etc. That would serve as my infrastructure, and the Fortune 500 mammues would lose some of their advantage over me.

I wonder if there are any sponsors like that at the IBE. Someone who would become an IMEX Exchange favorite in a heartbeat. Boy o boy, if someone like that stands out at the conference, and makes the attendees take notice, among the congestion of all the other pointers, that could really get some e-business flowing their way in a hurry.

And some investors, too!
