>>that's a strong endorsement. thank you for the post<<

And it's also dated November 1998. This is old news. But Iomaniacs only have this as any sort of evidence of hope for Flop!

But this November evidence was destroyed today.

Agfa rolled out all of their new products today, ranging from scanners to printers, to cameras, and NONE of them have a Flop! drive. Agfa had every opportunity to announce a product, ANY product that would use a Flop! drive. They didn't. They evne had every opportunity to mention a Flop! device as in development, or a Flop! deal with Iomega Corp at all. They didn't. Sadly, the early press release that keeps on being dragged out of its dusty crypt has not been borne out by fact.

Because hope is all Iomaniacs have.

Instead, the only connection with Iomega announced is a high-end scanner and expensive printer that will have Zips built-in and CD-R Burners built-in as well. I suppose that one could hope that Agfa could change their mind about Flop! But I suspect they won't, and Iomaniacs will continue to drag that poor November 1998 PR release out from its rotting grave for the next 2 years.
