Any stock which can be bought, can be shorted. If not in the US, elsewhere. Even in the US, I don't believe that it is illegal to short a new IPO after shares are available on the open market. Brokers like to tell you that, but ask them for the statute. I'll bet they can't. Stay in the Black! jimS
