Well, as Zoltan pointed out GE was up for a major defense contract when NBC got the story. Sounds like a Winner for media extortion and bribery to me. "Give us the contract or the Freedom of the Press will be exercised..."

NBC did Just Fine in it's 'reporting'. Even paid to have the reporters 'hang out' in Little Rock to keep FOBs worried about what else they'd dig up (or who else).

Well, it looks as if everybody needs a media Network to compete in today's business world. Wonder what the situation would be if either MSFT or RJR owned a network....? I see some investment opportunities here....
