Bob,

I've heard that about Folbot as well, but I live a long, long, way from the nearest dealer, and I'd like to have a reasonable degree of certainty before ordering. The real question is one of relative value: is a Raid II really worth twice what the Folbot costs? I have also heard of a Japanese-made folding boat called the Falhawk, which is not exported, but is apparently quite reasonably priced, especially given the relative weakness of the yen. Supposed to be built along the lines of a Feathercraft, which, if it's true, would make it a good deal. In any event, I've stretched the small boat budget more than a bit in the last year, so I have a good 6 months or so to make a decision. I'm hoping that somewhere in that time I can get to a place where I can compare several boats, and evaluate them myself.

Where do you paddle?

Steve
