<As an AMD stockholder i would welcome AMD to sell as many chips as it could at breakeven if it helped gain market share from Intel. Call me a finatic, or a radical or what ever. I would support such an effort.>

Define break-even. AMD's profits (or lack thereof) not only have to pay for their debts, they also have to pay for future R&D so that they can come out with the K8, or the K9 dog-catcher. AMD also has to pay for continual manufacturing equipment upgrades if they want to move beyond the 0.18 micron process in the far future to 0.13 and 0.10.

Why do you (or anyone else, either pro- or anti-Intel) want AMD to just turn into a non-profit organization? Are you joking around or something?

I am sure that AMD appreciates you "supporting" them. Too bad you will also be much poorer for the effort.
