Bowling is ideal as a game to bundle with the P3 chip. It can show off the power of the P3 in a format which is absolutely noncontroversial: no violence, no sex and no political overtones. From Intel's point of view, it will accomplish their ends very well. For THQ it is an opportunity to get visibility and name recognition. If THQ makes a pile directly, that is fine. If they do a good job on the game, it will encourage people to buy other THQ games. I didn't think wrestling was a big deal when THQ got the first license and look what happened.

I can eat more than Marc & Wade too :o)

Marc would no doubt beat me in a tennis match, though he does appear jealous of my proximity to a private tennis club (around the corner dude, hehe). Wade would smoke me at solving Eigen value and Eigen vector problems, but I have yet to run across one so far in my investing.

I agree ... The King looks quite distinguished in his greased back beard, I felt compelled to toss him a couple bucks so he could afford a can of beans to use these upcoming cold rainy months.

In response to Todd's comment regarding the OEM agreement, I consider this one of the best moves lately from THQI. It seems to me, given that having a strong product does not necessarily earn the respect of The Street, THQI is going to have to tackle this from a different angle. Broad exposure appears to be the ticket, even if it is earned at the expense of margins.

I consider THQI earning a lower margin (for the time being), but establishing a much larger presence through OEM distribution, a VERY effective way to accomplish this objective. I'm two thumbs up on the whole idea, and feel very comfortable long-term with the company, since exposure is the name of the game in this industry.

You can have the best game in the business, but if no one knows about it, you're toast. On the other hand, you can have a mediocre game, and given that your name is well recognized, you can still sell a lot of units and generate revenue. It's not the goal to sell mediocre products, but the exposure is key to the potential to sell more units. I like this idea a LOT!!!
