Uncle, I'll comment.

More FUD. Note how Hitachi is quoted in the article and SLDRM/DDRAM is promoted as promising.

Hitachi is part of that consortium for alternative memory and has still not been offered dime one from Intel for Rambus production.

Sour grapes? Yep.

The article is slanted "against" Rambus, but the best they can do is "theoretically" delay RDRAM, to 2000. Frankly, it is well within the road map, small initial penetration in Q4 of 1999 with ramp up in 2000, and probably some 30% (I always like to be conservative) of all DRAM in 2001. That will still provide for "visibility" of some $6 (conservative, again) bucks per share sometime in the next "3 to 4 years" (VBG).
