Traveling Man, Thanks for the input about burning book value. That is precisely my concern and you seem to confirm how easily it happens. I have to believe that is why exploration development has slowed so much for HEC . . . their trying to ride out the storm.

Re: floorless, sorry I can't be of help why the company didn't just issue shares instead of buy back. It seems like a no brainer if it were that simple, that's why I not so sure . . .

Lastly, re: the comments that Islero was a bust: True, but I stick with what I said before (which I heard from someone more knowledgeable than I), that is, Islero wasn't HEC's first choice of a place to drill, but rather the Columbian government's choice. The one further north, where HEC wanted to go, may still be a winner. I'm out.
