What you should really learn from this experience is to never invest in a situation like this unless you realize it is equivilant to putting money into a slot machine.
It has to be money you are willing to lose completely. Buy it and consider it gone already. Then wait until the company goes bankrupt or you are rich. Selling should not even be an option, nor should averaging down unless that money is considered equally tossed in the trash.
We have no idea how this will turn out or when. Because PMA didnt sell in a few Compusa stores without any advertising or instore promotion is no reason to decide BNEZ is a failure. I'd have been stunned if it did sell under those circumstances.
One obvious comment is that if the salesclerks couldnt look at the box and know where to put it in the store how is anyone who has never even heard of the product going to be willing to buy it just from a glance at the cover?
Buying investment software is not exactly an impulse purchase like a game might be.
