Because sometimes institutional investors get suckered into bad deals. They're human too...and most are not much better than a good individual investor using simple common sense.

Lord,Abbot $ Co. acquired 6.11% of TAVA on Feb 17. 1,353,000 shares! That sounds like bigs news to me. Who did they buy them from? Did Gruder sell out? (gg)

Seriously, are they planning a takeover? Or are they aware of some big news?
