tippet,

Despite great technical and business achievements, Intel's senior ranks seem, at times, not entirely in tone with the contemporary cultural beat. The company has made more than its share of PR blunders in recent past.

tippet,

It a non-event in that it will have 0 effect on Intel's long term value, which is what I and many other here care about. Do you think INTC trades lower today because of the original "Pentium bug" <gg>??

<It's not too late to sell your INTC before the spring sales ...>

I do plan on selling before the spring.......spring of around 2030 or before mankind abandons technology, which ever comes first. Sales are for accumulating. I have always welcomed INTC sales with open arms and open pocket book <gg>.

<INTC will be cutting prices on them sooner rather than later.>

IMO, this "PR stumble" will have no effect whatsoever on pricing schedules.

For me, whatever the small cost, it has been more than made up for in entertainment and satisfaction as I watch these paranoid and privacy freaks bitch and scream. Of course, I also like eating large porterhouse steaks while wearing a nice leather coat when I go to the local animals' rights convention <g>. Did I mention that my pillows are stuffed exclusively with spotted-owl feathers??
