Don't you need to put up at least 1/2 the amount when you operate a margin account? I have no idea because it is not my style. And yes, the newbie thinks he's smart because he borrows at the "teaser" rate of 3.9% and if he gets "stuck" in any stock and the teaser rate ends, he rolls over the loan to another new credit card giving a teaser rate...

30% ?? Who pays that? How does %3.9 sound; How about 2.9% ? Can you get that on your primary home mogtage? I can get 2.9 for 6 mos by signing the paper and mailing it back, bus reply, with no stamp needed from me. The 30% thing is a myth. Nobody pays that. The cc co's are tanking because everyone is wise to the intro game. EVERYONE. I've been doing it for over seven years. MBNA annouced yesterday they are getting out of the cc bus. Let's wake up here.
